**About The Role**

As a QA Intern at Alta you’ll be helping to drive the coverage, efficiency and effectiveness of our testing across all of the platforms in our private markets ecosystem. Rather than simply writing test code, you’ll be deeply and collaboratively integrated with your peers in engineering, product and design to promote and advise on the “QA mindset", ensuring that everyone on the team is thinking about key edge cases from planning through to release.

We’re a supportive,social, and entrepreneurial team of former investment bankers, technologistsand strategists. Clear, honest communication is key to everything we do.

**The sorts of things you’ll be doing**:

- Working both independently andwith our small but growing QA team to design and implement test casesfeature-by-feature
- Reviewing all documents (e.g.business requirements, functional specifications and technical specifications)and understand what need to be tested
- Creating, updating and maintainingcomprehensive test documentation based on requirements to ensure reliableproduct delivery
- Perform manual software testing
- Identify, record, documentthoroughly and track bugs
- Expressing your ideas, opinionsand feedback on our tech stack, tooling and culture to ensure we’re alwaysimproving as a technology team and as a company

**As our QA Intern, we know you’ll be doing significantlearning on the job. That said, we’re hoping from Day 1 you’ll bring**:

- Final year students or freshgraduated, preferably from Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
- Good communication, strong logicand analysis skills
- Attention to detail
- Self-starter, able to take theinitiative and able to spot and resolve issues promptly

**Beyond the technology, we also hope you’ve got some interest in**:

- Financial services, particularly the investment space
- An appreciation for experimentation and designing systems/processes that accommodate business and technical agility
- Food We talk about it a lot :)

As a close-knit, social team we generally prefer to work together in person at one of our offices. That said, we provide a flexible working environment that is adaptable to periods of working from home.
