**Responsibilities**:

- Write articles and news pieces for the MataPress platform
- Conduct in-depth research and gather information on assigned topics
- Interview sources and develop relationships with news contacts
- Edit and refine news scripts according to editorial guidelines
- Stay updated with current news and trends in the industry
- Collaborate with the editorial team to produce high-quality content
- Attend and cover events or conferences as needed

**Qualifications**:

- Current student or recent graduate in Journalism, Communications, Literature, or a related field
- Strong writing and communication skills
- A keen interest in journalism and news reporting
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented and thorough
- Good time management skills and ability to work under pressure
- Experience with editing software (such as Microsoft Word or Google Docs)
- Basic knowledge of SEO and social media is a plus
