Our client’s bakery is about Nordic vibes meeting tropical living. We make tapas-style from fresh local ingredients and offer daily baked pastries from our bakery. We provide a casual and Nordic atmosphere for catching up with friends, creating a unique space for community and culinary experiences. We are looking for a passionate and skilled Head Baker to lead our baking team and elevate our offerings to the next level.
**Responsibilities**:
- Oversee daily bakery operations, ensuring high standards of quality and consistency.
- Develop new recipes and innovate the bakery menu based on current trends and seasonal ingredients.
- Manage and train the bakery team to maintain best practices in food safety, production, and efficiency.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage budgets effectively.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct quality checks on all baked goods to meet customer and company expectations.
- Collaborate with management on product launches, promotional activities, and business strategies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a bakery leadership role, preferably as a Head Baker or similar position.
- Expertise in bread making, pastries, and dessert production.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food safety regulations.
- Creative mindset with the ability to innovate and elevate product offerings.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and meet tight deadlines.
- Diploma or associate degree in culinary arts, baking, or a related field is preferred.
