**THE ROLE**

We are seeking an experienced, fully remote Senior Software Tester with strong database skills, including SQL expertise and databases such as Oracle and Postgres, also data migration. Join our dynamic software development team and contribute to the quality and reliability of our software products.

As a Senior Software Tester, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and executing comprehensive test strategies with a focus on SQL, database functionality, and data migration. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and quality assurance analysts, to identify and address software defects and ensure a smooth and successful product release.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project requirements and specifications, with an emphasis on SQL queries and database interactions.
- Execute test cases and report software defects, providing detailed and accurate descriptions and steps to reproduce, particularly in the context of database functionality, Oracle, Postgres, and data migration scenarios.
- Collaborate with development teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects in a timely manner, paying close attention to issues related to Oracle and Postgres databases and data migration processes.
- Develop and maintain test data sets and test environments to support various testing scenarios, ensuring that data migration processes are properly tested and validated.
- Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, including the development of SQL scripts and data migration test scripts.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, providing technical expertise and support in SQL, database testing, Oracle, Postgres, and data migration techniques and best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze testing requirements, ensuring test coverage meets business needs, particularly in the context of SQL queries, Oracle, Postgres, and data migration tasks.
- Track and report on test progress, providing regular updates to project stakeholders, including detailed reports on SQL and database-related test results and data migration outcomes.
- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-up meetings, ensuring that SQL, database testing, Oracle, Postgres, and data migration activities are integrated seamlessly into the overall development cycle.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Senior Software Tester or in a similar role, with a track record of delivering high-quality software products, including expertise in SQL, Oracle, Postgres, and data migration testing.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices, with a particular emphasis on SQL, database testing, Oracle, Postgres, and data migration techniques.
- Proficiency in test planning, test design, and test execution, with experience in designing and executing tests that specifically target SQL queries, Oracle, Postgres databases, and data migration processes.
- Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems, including those used for SQL, Oracle, Postgres, and data migration testing.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and practices, with the ability to integrate SQL, database testing, Oracle, Postgres, and data migration tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and independently, particularly when analyzing SQL and database-related issues, Oracle, Postgres databases, and data migration challenges.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, database administrators, and data migration specialists.
