Manulife Indonesia Strategy and Transformation Pension Business is accountable for formulation, implementation, review and adjustment of the business and transformation strategy for Manulife Retirement business to drive business growth and capture business opportunities. Reporting directly to the Chief of Employee Benefit, this role will focus on strategy and transformation with consideration of all business elements including but not limited to product, distribution, operations, customer experience, and digitalization. This role will also work closely with Regional Retirement Strategy team on all relevant strategic planning, monitoring and implementation matters.

**We are looking for someone with**:

- University degree of minimum bachelor degree
- Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience
- Relevant actuarial or finance experience is preferable
- Proven experience in strategic planning and thinking
- Strong knowledge of retirement market, business operations and market practices
- Proven leadership skills, project management skills, and negotiation/influential skills
- Highly developed communication & relationship skills

**Nice to Haves**:

- Ability to build and manage relationships with the key internal stakeholders

**On the job you will**:

- Formulate, establish, review and steer overall strategies for Retirement business; develop plan to support and materialize strategy to align with company’s mission and objectives
- Identify and propose business transformation and digitalization to ensure business stays ahead in the market and be able to proactively respond to customer needs
- Research competition to identify threats and opportunities
- Provide support and insight into significant organizational changes (e.g. shift in strategic focus, mergers and acquisitions)
- Provide support to senior executives to assess the retirement business’s operational and strategic performance
- Provide analysis and assist senior executives in making effective decisions
- Connect and maintain good relationship with respective regulators, stay abreast of any regulatory changes, pension system reform, industry trends and market movement in order to strengthen company’s influential power to the retirement industry
- In charge of the key strategic initiatives to ensure effective and efficient development and implementation
- Advise and counsel leaders with or without owning the projects themselves in order ensure the progress, tracking and expectations are consistent.
- Provide governance structure to ensure accountability and enables the predictability of the outcomes of each strategic / transformation initiative.
- Assist in business forecast to ensure financial target is set strategically and resources are deployed strategically
- Assist business units in aligning processes, resources-planning and department goals with overall strategy
- Assist Product and Pricing to formulate and revamp pre and post retirement solutions to deliver best in class products and solutions to retirement market
