Project Manager — Boutique Mountain Retreat

Job Type: Full-time, permanent, direct hire

Location: Bali — mixed between Munduk site and Canggu, with travel

Salary: IDR 12,000,000 per month, commensurate with experience

Reports to: Owner, directly

The Project

A boutique mountain retreat under development in Munduk, North Bali (approximately 850m elevation). The project comprises identical villas plus shared facilities — a multi-use lobby and lounge, a spa and sauna ritual garden, and integrated landscape including a garden and mountain trails. We are currently in late pre-construction; construction starts in the near term, with opening to follow.

The Role

Full-time, exclusive Project Manager working directly for the owner. This is an owner-side role — independent of the construction firm and Quantity Surveyor, both of which are separately appointed. You will handle the day-to-day coordination, follow-up, and execution required to keep the project moving across all workstreams.

What You'll Do

Follow up with the construction firm on pricing, drawings, and meeting actions

Oversee and cross-check the master programme and schedule

Liaise with village stakeholders on water, electricity, and access road agreements, with support from our lawyer

Lead FF&E and materials sourcing — bring samples, organise supplier visits, track quotations

Coordinate with the independent Quantity Surveyor

Report weekly to the owner with a clear decision log and action tracker

Requirements

Native Bahasa Indonesia and fluent English — both used daily

Understanding of interior design is a plus

Proven experience project managing construction projects, ideally in hospitality, villas, or premium residential

Familiar with the Bali construction landscape: contractors, suppliers, showrooms

An eye for materials and design (interior design experience or working with designers is a plus)

Own transport (motorbike or car)

Willing to travel between Munduk and Canggu regularly

Cannot be working on other projects in parallel — this is a full-time, exclusive role
