Job Description
Our client is actively seeking a talented and creative Remote Instructional Designer to join their distributed education technology team. In this fully remote position, you will be responsible for designing and developing engaging, effective, and accessible learning experiences for a diverse audience. You will collaborate with subject matter experts, educators, and stakeholders to transform content into dynamic online courses, interactive modules, and other digital learning materials. This role is ideal for a proactive individual who thrives in a virtual environment, possesses a strong understanding of adult learning principles, and is passionate about leveraging technology to enhance educational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop innovative instructional materials for online courses, e-learning modules, and blended learning programs using various authoring tools.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to analyze learning needs, define learning objectives, and structure content effectively.
- Apply adult learning theories and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to create engaging and pedagogically sound learning solutions.
- Develop assessments, activities, and interactive elements to promote knowledge retention and skill development.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality learning products in a fully remote setting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in instructional design and e-learning development.
- Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar.
- Strong understanding of learning theories, curriculum development, and multimedia principles for online learning.
- Excellent project management, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently.
