About the role

PT Caturbintang Rikie Pratama is seeking a skilled Teknisi Las (Welding Technician) to join our Engineering team in Kembangan, Jakarta. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our electrical and electronic engineering operations. As a Welding Technician, you will be responsible for performing precision welding tasks that are essential to the fabrication and assembly of our products. This role is fundamental to maintaining the quality standards and structural integrity of our electrical and electronic components, directly contributing to our company's reputation for excellence and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Perform welding operations using various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and arc welding to join metal components with precision and accuracy
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure welding work meets exact requirements
• Prepare materials and work surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and positioning components prior to welding
• Inspect welded joints and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and industry regulations
• Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime
• Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment
• Document welding procedures and maintain accurate records of completed work
• Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and quality objectives
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of welding machinery and related equipment

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience as a Welding Technician or in a similar welding role within the engineering or manufacturing sector
• Proficiency in multiple welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, stick welding, and gas welding
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding specifications
• Knowledge of welding safety standards and best practices in accordance with industry regulations
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work
• Physical capability to perform repetitive tasks and work in varying environmental conditions
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot welding equipment issues
• Experience working with electrical and electronic components is highly desirable
• Valid welding certification or qualifications recognised in Indonesia is preferred
• Team player with strong communication skills and reliability
