Remote Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Specialist
Our client is seeking a dedicated Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Specialist to join their remote operations support team. In this role, you will remotely assist mining sites by developing and implementing robust HSE policies, procedures, and training programs. You will play a key part in fostering a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, all from your home office. About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Specialist to join their remote operations support team. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review HSE policies, procedures, and risk assessments for mining operations.
- Assist sites with the implementation of safety management systems and incident investigation protocols.
- Prepare and deliver remote HSE training modules to site personnel.
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure ongoing compliance across various sites.
- Analyze HSE performance data and identify trends to recommend corrective actions.
- Support the development and execution of emergency response plans.
- Conduct virtual audits and assessments of HSE practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably within the mining or heavy industry sector.
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices.
- Experience with risk assessment methodologies and incident investigation techniques.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for remote interaction.
- Proficiency in relevant software for reporting and data analysis.
