Key Responsibilities

The PMO is responsible for establishing and leading the Project Management Office, driving the execution of the company’s strategic priorities through effective governance, portfolio management, cross-functional coordination and business transformation.

1. Strategy Execution

  • Translate strategic priorities into executable initiatives and programmes.
  • Support execution of strategic and annual business plans.
  • Monitor progress against strategic objectives and priorities.
  • Ensure initiatives remain aligned with company strategy.

2. PMO Governance

  • Establish PMO governance frameworks, methodologies and standards.
  • Develop project management processes, reporting standards and templates.
  • Maintain governance documentation, decision logs and project controls.
  • Ensure consistent governance across strategic initiatives.

3. Portfolio Management

  • Manage the organisation’s portfolio of strategic projects and initiatives.
  • Prioritise initiatives based on strategic value, business impact and organisational capacity.
  • Monitor project performance, milestones, budgets, risks and benefits realisation.
  • Identify project interdependencies and recommend corrective actions.

4. Cross Functional Leadership

  • Drive execution across function
  • Ensure collaboration across departments.
  • Remove barriers impacting delivery.
  • Hold project owners accountable for deliverables and timelines.

5. Performance Management

  • Develop executive dashboards and portfolio reporting.
  • Track KPIs, milestones and business outcomes.
  • Prepare progress reports for the Managing Director and Leadership Team.
  • Monitor delivery and value realisation.

6. Business Transformation

  • Support enterprise‑wide transformation programmes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Improve governance, business processes and organisational effectiveness.
  • Support change management and adoption of initiatives.

7. Risk & Issue Management

  • Identify, assess and monitor strategic and project risks.
  • Develop mitigation plans with project owners.
  • Escalate critical issues impacting delivery.
  • Monitor portfolio health and delivery confidence.

8. Managing Director Support

  • Prepare strategic analyses, business cases and executive presentations.
  • Coordinate leadership meetings relating to strategic initiatives.
  • Track executive actions and ensure completion.
  • Support annual planning and quarterly business reviews.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Finance or related discipline. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in PMO, Strategy, Business Transformation or Enterprise Project Management.
  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise‑wide, cross‑functional strategic initiatives.
  • Experience working directly with Managing Directors, CEOs or Executive Leadership Teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen with ability to balance strategic thinking and operational execution.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical, communication and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Experience within retail, consumer, healthcare, FMCG or other multi‑site organisations is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of programme governance, project portfolio management and performance reporting.
  • Proficiency in project management and reporting tools.
