Job Description

Oversee all financial aspects of the production process, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis, to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.Develop and implement cost control measures to optimise production costs and improve profitability, while maintaining product quality standards.Monitor and analyse production expenses, variances, and trends to identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.Collaborate with production managers and cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies for reducing waste, improving efficiency, and increasing productivity.Prepare regular financial reports and performance metrics to track production costs, analyse variances, and provide insights to management for decision-making.Conduct financial evaluations of production projects and initiatives to assess their feasibility, profitability, and return on investment.Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and external regulations related to financial management and cost control within the manufacturing environment. The Successful Applicant 12+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles within the manufacturing industry, with a strong focus on cost controlling and financial analysis.Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; additional professional certifications such as CPA or CMA would be advantageous.Proven track record of implementing cost-saving initiatives and improving profitability in a manufacturing environment, ideally with experience in multinational companies.In-depth knowledge of production cost analysis, variance analysis, and budgeting processes, with a demonstrated ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic recommendations.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience in leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and inventory control, with the ability to identify opportunities for process optimisation and efficiency improvements.Advanced proficiency in financial analysis tools and software, including ERP systems and Microsoft Excel, for data analysis, forecasting, and reporting purposes.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.Proactive mindset and a continuous improvement orientation, with a commitment to driving operational excellence and achieving business objectives.
