General Manager Sales - Leading Indonesian Manufacturing Company

Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a leading Indonesian manufacturing company. As expansion continues, our client is seeking a professional with at least 15-20 years' experience in chemical products for the General Manager Sales position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Report directly to the Sales Director
• Lead the sales team in Indonesia
• Provide leadership to the commercial and business development team, addressing commercial, technical, and operational aspects of potential customers
• Oversee day-to-day business development and sales process, collaborating with the operation team to identify potential clients and provide recommendations for improvements
• Lead a cross-functional team to meet business objectives
• Develop solutions, strategies, and assessments of current industry impact to ensure customer satisfaction and business continuity, aligned with the company's strategy
• Manage pricing, cost of service, and customer requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a commercial discipline from a reputable university
• Minimum 20 years' experience in chemical products
• Proven track record of developing and maintaining external relationships at senior levels
• Knowledge of the chemical market
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with teams and networks, and influence outcomes at multiple levels in an organization
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Medium to high level computer skills, including spreadsheets and databases
• Influencing and networking skills
• Strong strategic purchasing and negotiations skills
• Track-record of business development
• Solid leadership skills, mentoring, and coaching
• Strong problem-solving ability and effective employee management experience
