We are currently representing a leading plantation company based in Sumatra, Indonesia. They are currently seeking a well rounded Operational Director to assist them in this time of growth.

Job Description

Oversee all aspects of plantation operations, including cultivation, harvesting, processing, and distribution, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.Implement best practices and operational standards to streamline processes, improve workflow efficiency, and maximize output.Provide visionary leadership to operational teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.Identify operational bottlenecks and areas for improvement, implementing strategies to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.Monitor key performance indicators and metrics to track progress and drive performance optimization initiatives.Manage the end-to-end supply chain process, including inventory management, procurement, logistics, and distribution, to ensure seamless operations and timely delivery of products.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize supply chain efficiency, minimize costs, and mitigate risks.Build and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, department heads, government agencies, local communities, suppliers, and customers.Develop and manage operational budgets, monitor expenditures, and analyze financial performance to optimize resource allocation and drive profitability.Implement cost-control measures and financial strategies to achieve operational efficiency and maximize returns on investment.Identify potential operational risks and challenges, developing proactive risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to safeguard business operations and assets.Monitor market trends and industry developments to anticipate potential risks and capitalize on emerging opportunities. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, Engineering, or related fieldMinimum of 15 years of experience in plantation management, agricultural operations, or related industry, with a proven track record of success in leadership roles.Strong understanding of plantation operations, agricultural practices, and supply chain management principles.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate teams across diverse functions and levels.Strategic thinker with demonstrated experience in developing and implementing operational strategies and initiatives to drive business growth and performance improvement.Proficient in financial management, budgeting, and cost control, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.Knowledge of environmental regulations, sustainability standards, and corporate social responsibility principles.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and challenges.
