Electrical Designer

Design and modify standard equipment, systems, and installations, using standard design concepts, to create engineering solutions, including drawings and calculations, according to contract specifications.

About the role

This position is responsible for technical contribution, customer and sales, technical leadership and knowledge sharing, processes and tools, risk and opportunity management, contract management, planning and control, supply chain management, manufacturing and testing, and commissioning and service.

Key responsibilities

Technical Contribution:

  • Evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments.
  • Prepare project documentation within one's scope of deliverables.

Customer and Sales:

  • Finalize 'Fail-Safe Philosophy' and other key concepts as part of Kick-Off and Design Freeze Meetings.
  • Actively participate in project meetings and resolve any outstanding technical issues to meet contractual obligations.
  • Assist in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects/programs.

Technical Leadership and Knowledge Sharing:

  • Apply basic Design Thinking / Design for Excellence concepts in projects.
  • Actively utilize checklists to perform design verification according to applicable standards and engineering guidelines.
  • Contribute and share experiences in workshops pertaining to engineering design, tools, and processes.

Processes and Tools:

  • Use standard processes and tools applicable to one's area of responsibility.
  • Ensure that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements.
  • Report processes and tools inefficiencies and suggest improvements ideas.

Risk and Opportunity Management:

  • Support technical risk assessments and implement resulting actions for one's projects.
  • Report any contract / safety / quality / program / cost issues to Project Manager(s) for resolution.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Extensive knowledge of Protection Relay
  • Established skills of AutoCad, E-Cad Software, MS-Office
  • Ability to communicate in Bahasa and English
