**Position Summary**

You will work with both internal and client engineering teams to help design, advise, and deliver a user interface for both internal and external use that is highly functional, responsive, and lightweight based on UX design and backend APIs.

**Essential Functions/Responsibilities**

The Lead Front-End Engineer (JavaScript) is accountable for the following functions and responsibilities:

- Research, Design, and implement new features on the frontend for our web-based technologies
- Develop UI components for web-based technologies
- Work collaboratively with the project and product manager related to the feature and development process
- Work collaboratively with backend engineers and designers to make sure the best user experience
- Work collaboratively with infrastructure automation engineers to ensure the best development+deployment experience
- Keep up with, use, and follow the best engineering practice in the industry
- Ensure the best of both engineering quality and product quality
- Perform any other duties as required

**Qualifications/Experience Required**
- 5+ years of Javascript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience in using modern frameworks and tools such as React, Ember, Angular, Vue, etc
- Experience to lead a team or at least interest in managing people
- Experience with frontend testing
- Familiarity with newer specifications of ECMAScript and Typescript
- Familiarity with modern code bundlers
- Familiarity with modern infrastructure automation tools
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Solid understanding of responsive web designs
- Solid web performance and troubleshooting skills
- Solid security best practices
- Strong computer science and engineering background
- Forward-thinking and up to date on current and emerging architecture patterns
- Able to work with overseas teammates and clients under tight deadlines, on distributed teams with fluid requirements
- Experience in building an app with a massive user count
- Familiarity with cloud technologies
- Solid understanding of Javascript primitives and runtime

**Qualifications/Experience Preferred**
- Prior experience in React and its ecosystem
