**Position Summary**

As a Back-End Engineer (Go), you will play a key role in the development of the game backend services, from designing APIs to writing solid logic to deploy and monitor the servers. Building systems with security, scalability, reliability, cost-efficiency and maintainability in mind is a must.

**Essential Functions/Responsibilities**

The Back-End Engineer (Go) is accountable for the following functions and responsibilities:

- Primarily hands-on developing and improving microservices with scalability, data integrity, security, and cost in mind
- Contribute technical designs, documentation, tutorials, and sample apps
- Collaborate with other engineers and work closely with cross-functional teams (SRE, SDK, SDET, PM, etc) in a global environment across multiple time zones
- Practice, champion, and culturalize best practices for highly scalable backends across the engineering organization
- Support and troubleshoot client integration and ensure client success
- Perform any other design-related duties as required

**Qualifications/Experience Required**
- 5+ years of professional experience working with backend systems in Go
- Experience with developing high traffic and highly scalable services serving millions of users
- Experience with CNCF technologies such as Kubernetes, Grafana, Redis, Kafka, MongoDB, and Postgres in a production environment
- Excellent knowledge of gRPC
- Excellent knowledge of algorithms, data structures, performance, and multi-threaded programming techniques
- Familiar with security best practices
- Able to work with clients under tight deadlines, on distributed teams with fluid requirements
- Flexibility in working with people with different time zones

**Qualifications/Experience Preferred**
- Ability to quickly understand and work with internal and externally developed code
- Experience with first-party online services such as Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, or Steam
- AAA game studio experience
