Finance Controller

We are seeking an experienced **Finance Controller** with strong expertise in **Indonesian tax regulations and international taxation** to join our team. This role requires in-depth knowledge of Indonesian tax laws and practical experience with local tax operations, as well as the ability to manage cross-border tax matters according to the company’s business needs. As the Finance Controller, you will oversee all financial operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance, and provide strategic financial support to the company.

This position will help the company navigate tax planning, optimize financial structures, and mitigate financial risks in a multi-country operating environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Tax Compliance & Planning**:

- Ensure compliance with Indonesian tax regulations, including corporate tax filings and other tax-related matters.
- Manage the company’s tax operations in Indonesia and other overseas markets, ensuring timely and accurate tax filings.
- Provide cross-border tax planning and optimize the company’s tax structures based on business requirements.
- Liaise with local tax authorities and handle tax audits and related inquiries.
- **Financial Reporting**:

- Prepare and oversee financial reports, ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
- Ensure the accuracy and transparency of financial statements, completing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on time.
- Manage the external audit process, ensuring timely and efficient audit completion.
- **International Financial Management**:

- Oversee and manage financial operations, ensuring smooth financial processes.
- Manage cash flow and optimize liquidity to ensure the financial health of the company.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring the achievement of financial goals.
- **Internal Controls & Risk Management**:

- Establish and maintain strong internal control systems to ensure that financial operations comply with company policies and legal regulations in different countries.
- Identify and manage tax and financial risks, ensuring the stability and sustainability of the company’s financial systems.
- **Team Leadership**:

- Lead and manage the finance team, ensuring efficient operations and fostering professional development within the team.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure that the finance team is aligned with other business functions in business expansion and operations.

**Key Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Taxation, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
- Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent qualifications are highly desirable.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum **8-10 years** of experience in finance, including **5+ years** in a senior finance management role.
- Must have substantial hands-on experience with **Indonesian tax regulations** and a strong understanding of international tax planning and compliance.
- Experience in handling cross-border tax matters and familiarity with international taxation and cross-border transactions is a strong plus.
- **Skills & Competencies**:

- In-depth knowledge of **Indonesian tax laws** and international tax regulations, with proven ability in cross-border tax planning and risk management.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards (IFRS/GAAP), with experience in financial statement preparation and audit management.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with tax authorities and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and financial software, with the ability to quickly adapt to the company’s financial systems.
