Overview:
As a Sales Supervisor at SOBI, you will play a key role in ensuring the achievement of sales targets for forest-based products such as logs, processed timber, and agroforestry derivatives. This role requires strategic planning, daily oversight of the Sales Team, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients. You will also be actively involved in expanding SOBI's market network and customer base, particularly for certified products like FSC timber. A strong understanding or experience in forest product sales is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company revenue targets for forest-based products (logs, processed timber, etc.).
- Lead, guide, and motivate the Sales Team to meet or exceed individual and collective targets.
- Oversee daily sales operations, ensuring efficient team performance and alignment with company goals.
- Identify and engage new customers, with a focus on certified wood products (e.g., FSC Certified).
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to inform decision-making.
- Monitor team and individual performance, provide coaching, and support professional development.
- Collaborate closely with operations, marketing, and management teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Support and participate in promotional campaigns, networking events, and industry forums.
- Actively contribute to expanding SOBI's sales channels and enhancing the company's market presence.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Forestry, Agribusiness or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in sales, preferably in forest products or related industries. Prior leadership experience is an advantage.
Technical Skills:
Solid understanding of sales principles and techniques.
- Practical knowledge and experience in selling forest-based products, including timber and agroforestry products.
- Basic knowledge of market research and data analysis.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tools is a plus.
Soft Skills:
Strong leadership capabilities and ability to inspire a team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
