About the role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales professional to join our team at our company. In this full-time role based in Palembang, South Sumatra, you will be responsible for driving sales and providing exceptional customer service in our retail environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Engaging with customers to understand their needs and provide product recommendations
  • Achieving and exceeding individual and team sales targets
  • Maintaining excellent product knowledge to guide customers through the purchasing process
  • Ensuring a positive in-store customer experience and assisting with any queries or concerns
  • Collaborating with the wider retail team to implement sales strategies and campaigns
  • Accurately processing sales transactions
  • Assisting with stock management and merchandising tasks to keep the store presentable

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in a sales or customer service role, preferably within the retail industry
  • Experience in sanitary, plumbing and building materials is preferred
  • Experience in handling distributors and agents especially in the Palemabang area
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with customers
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail for accurate cash handling and reporting
  • Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as required to support our operating hours
  • A positive, enthusiastic and customer-focused attitude
  • Willing to travel on business out of town or to our head office in Jakarta
