About the role

PT. Noovoleum Indonesia Investama, a leading company in the Jakarta area, is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Specialist to join their team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing strategic tax advisory services and ensuring compliance with all relevant tax regulations. This position is based in South Jakarta.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare and file accurate and timely tax returns, including corporate income tax, withholding tax (WHT), VAT, and other applicable taxes
  • Ensure full compliance with local, regional, and international tax regulations and reporting standard
  • Conduct research on tax laws to ensure compliance and identify potential tax efficiencies
  • Coordinate and collaborate with external auditors, tax consultants, and tax authorities when required
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date tax records and documentation
  • Monitor tax deadlines and ensure timely filings and payments
  • Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reports and reconciliations
  • Provide technical tax advice and guidance to internal departments on business transactions and regulatory matters
  • Communicate with tax authorities as needed under the supervision of the Finance Manager
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, and implement process adjustments as necessary
  • Support tax audits and manage the resolution of tax-related issues or discrepancies
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the tax function

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of experience in a tax advisory or compliance role, preferably within the accounting/finance industry
  • Strong technical knowledge of Indonesian tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical, commercial tax advice
  • Proficient in tax research, analysis, and planning
  • Skilled in interpreting complex tax legislation and communicating technical information to non-tax stakeholders
  • Experience in managing tax audits and liaising with tax authorities
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
