Product / UI/UX Designer (Contract – 3 Months, Extendable)

About the Role

Kulaa is looking for a highly skilled Product / UI/UX Designer to help us craft intuitive, elegant, and user-centered digital experiences. You'll play a key role in shaping our product's look and feel from user research and journey mapping to designing beautiful interfaces that feel effortless to use.

This is a 3-month contract role with the possibility of extension, ideal for designers who are passionate about solving problems through thoughtful design and care deeply about visual polish and usability.

What You'll Do

  • Work closely with our Founder to improve existing Figma designs & drive consistency in designs
  • Collaborate with our engineers, and leadership to translate ideas into clear, user-focused design solutions
  • Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs
  • Possibly conduct light user research and usability testing to validate assumptions
  • Apply strong visual design principles to build interfaces that are clean, modern, and delightful
  • Collaborate on design system components and maintain consistency across the product
  • Iterate quickly based on feedback and data
What We're Looking For
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating intuitive UX thinking and polished, contemporary UI design
  • 5+ years of experience in UI/UX or Product Design (exceptional junior candidates will be considered)
  • Expertise with modern design tools (e.g., Figma)
  • Ability to work in ambiguous environments and bring structure to ideas
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • A collaborative mindset and openness to feedback
Nice to Have
  • Experience working in startups or fast-paced product environments
  • Understanding of basic front-end constraints (helpful, not required)
  • Experience contributing to or creating design systems
