Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop, implement, and oversee the organization's litigation strategy across all jurisdictions.
  • Manage all phases of litigation—pre-litigation assessments, pleadings, discovery, trial preparation, settlement, and appeals.
  • Evaluate potential exposure and advise senior management on legal risks and recommended courses of action.
  • Provide expert legal counsel to executives and business units on litigation-related matters, dispute avoidance, and risk-mitigation strategies.
  • Review and analyze claims, complaints, and legal notices; prepare responses and defense strategies.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of litigation attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
  • Coordinate with internal legal, compliance, HR, finance, operations, and other business units to gather information and ensure smooth case handling.
  • Foster strong relationships with external law firms, counsel, and other advisors.
  • Ensure litigation activities comply with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
  • Identify systemic issues arising from litigation and propose policy/process improvements to reduce legal risk.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for all litigation matters.
  • Select, engage, and supervise external law firms.
  • Negotiate fee arrangements and manage litigation budgets effectively.
  • Evaluate performance of external counsel and ensure cost-effective representation.
  • Prepare regular updates and reports for senior management, including litigation status, risk assessments, and trends.
  • Present critical case updates to the board or executive leadership when needed.
  • Act as the organization's representative in negotiations, mediations, and settlement discussions.

Job Qualifications :

  • Bachelor of Laws
  • Has completed professional education as an advocate
  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in litigation, dispute resolution, or legal practice
  • Proven experience managing litigation matters, including case strategy, drafting pleadings, and court representation.
  • Experience coordinating with external counsel, regulatory bodies, and internal departments.
  • Prior experience in agribusiness / palm oil industry preferred.
  • Willing to be placed in Kuningan, Jakarta Selatan.
