About the role

As a Technical Superintendent you will be responsible for overseeing the technical management and maintenance of the vessels, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety and performance.

What you'll be doing

  1. Manage the technical aspects of the fleet, including planning and supervising maintenance, repairs, and upgrades
  2. Ensure vessels comply with all relevant regulations, certifications, and industry standards
  3. Liaise with external stakeholders, such as regulatory authorities and suppliers, to coordinate technical operations
  4. Analyse vessel performance data and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs
  5. Provide technical guidance and support to the vessel crews, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and resources to maintain the vessels effectively
  6. Participate in the development and implementation of the company's technical policies and procedures
  7. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the company's technical capabilities and practices

What we're looking for

  1. Extensive experience (8+ years) in a similar technical superintendent or marine engineering role within the offshore industry
  2. Strong technical expertise and in-depth knowledge of vessel systems, maintenance, and repair procedures
  3. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
  4. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  5. Familiarity with relevant regulations and industry standards, such as OVID, SOLAS, MARPOL, and ISM Code
  6. Strong analytical and data-driven approach to improve operational efficiency and performance
  7. Adaptability and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
