About The Role
As a Provisional Psychologist, you will work collaboratively with consumers to identify their support needs, goals and develop collaborative care plans. You will provide high quality psychosocial assessment, care coordination and evidence-based, focused psychological interventions to consumers. This position sits in a multidisciplinary and multi-organisational team and will be supported to deliver focused, low intensity evidence based individual and/or group therapeutic options and supporting families, carers and/or supports in a Primary Mental Health Care (PMHC) setting.

Experience Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments based on the presenting needs of the client.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to form engaging relationships with clients and their families/carers.
  • Highly self-motivated and dynamic personality with the ability to significantly contribute to mental health service delivery with a level of autonomy.
  • Ability to administer and interpret appropriate psychometric tests and outcome measurements.

Qualification And Other Requirements

  • Eligibility to take the 5 + 1 provisional psychology internship pathway: Master of Professional Psychology a five-year sequence of accredited study which grants eligibility for the AHPRA 5+1 internship pathway.
  • Must hold a Provisional registration with AHPRA.
  • Drivers Licence.
  • Current or willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check (WWCC).
  • Current of willing to obtain a National Police Clearance (NPC).
