About the Role:
Our client, a leading conglomerate in the tech industry, is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Development & Investment to spearhead strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, and capital investments. This role is integral to driving the company's growth, innovation, and expansion objectives by identifying and executing high-impact opportunities across the investment spectrum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and lead the execution of capital investments, strategic partnerships, and acquisitions that align with the company's growth objectives.
- Develop and manage comprehensive investment theses, ensuring alignment with market trends, company objectives, and financial performance targets.
- Build and maintain sophisticated financial models for transaction analysis, including forecasting, valuation, and scenario planning.
- Provide actionable investment insights to senior management and stakeholders.
- Conduct in-depth due diligence on potential targets, evaluating financial, operational, and strategic risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (legal, tax, and operations) to ensure robust due diligence processes.
- Develop and implement strategies for securing capital through equity and debt financing to support growth initiatives and operational needs.
- Build relationships with investment banks, private equity firms, and other financial institutions to explore funding opportunities.
- Lead negotiations with potential investment targets and partners, managing end-to-end transaction processes from initial contact to deal closure.
- Ensure transactions are structured to maximize value while mitigating risks.
- Oversee integration plans for acquisitions and partnerships, ensuring seamless operational alignment and tracking performance metrics.
- Conduct post-transaction evaluations to assess outcomes and improve future strategies.
Key Requirements:
- Demonstrable track record of leading and executing high-value investments, including M&A, partnerships, and capital-raising initiatives.
- Extensive experience in corporate finance & investment, with expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and investment analysis.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives with measurable outcomes aligned to organizational goals.
- Deep understanding of market trends and their implications for strategic investment decisions.
- Proven ability to manage high-stakes negotiations with diverse stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts to senior executives and board members concisely and effectively.
- Strong analytical abilities to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
- Experience in conducting due diligence and risk assessments across financial, operational, and strategic dimensions.
- Strong relationship-building skills, fostering partnerships with key industry players, financial advisors, and investment banks.
- Familiarity with corporate governance standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in M&A and investment processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (e.g., MBA, CFA).
- Prior experience in tech or related industries is a plus.
