Job Description:

The IT Application Support is responsible for providing technical support and ensuring operational of software applications used within the organization. This role involves troubleshooting application issues, coordinating with vendors and application team, and assisting end-users to ensure optimal application performance and user satisfaction, which includes:

  • Provide day-to-day technical support for business applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues reported by users.
  • Liaise with vendors, application team and infrastructure teams to escalate and resolve complex problems.
  • Monitor application performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Track vendor progress for enhancement or issue.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in application/database support and IT operations.
  • Proven experience in application support, incident management, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including developers, support, and end users.
  • Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), and IT/business operations processes.
  • Exposure to securities or trading domain (e.g., business flow, data integrity, low-latency requirements) is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server administration and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in SQL query optimization, indexing, backups, restores, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Experience with monitoring tools and alerting for SQL Server (e.g., SQL Server Agent, dashboards).
  • Basic knowledge of SQL queries for troubleshooting and validation.
  • Familiarity with MariaDB and PostgreSQL is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proactive, innovative, and initiative-driven in project discussions and improvements.
  • Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with good command of English (verbal and written).
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective teamwork and collaboration abilities, including willingness to support on-call/standby rotations during end-of-month or critical periods.
