Senior Buyer

PT Importa Jaya Abadi is a national principal furniture distribution company with an

extensive sales network across Indonesia. We are committed to providing high-quality,

functional, and modern furniture products that meet the needs of Indonesian customers.

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Buyer.

Job Overview:

As a Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for managing the entire purchasing process —

from product planning, supplier selection, and price negotiation to ensuring smooth import

operations. You will play a key role in identifying market trends and supporting Importa's

product development strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

● Manage the end-to-end buying process for imported products.

● Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify potential products.

● Negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best pricing, quality, and delivery timelines.

● Responsible for determining selling prices and ensuring product profitability in line

with business strategy and market dynamics.

● Ensure the accuracy of import documents and oversee shipment processes until

arrival.

● Collaborate with logistics, marketing, and finance teams to ensure cost and time

efficiency.

● Analyze sales and product performance data to support future buying decisions.

● Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers and vendors.

Qualifications:

● Bachelor's degree in Management, Economics, Supply Chain, or related fields.

● Minimum 3 years of experience as a Buyer in the retail industry (preferably in

furniture).

● Strong negotiation and communication skills.

● Experienced in import processes and knowledgeable about import documentation

and procedures.

● Strong analytical ability and capable of making data-driven decisions.

● Excellent planning, time management, and attention to detail.

● Proficient in English (spoken and written).

● A collaborative team player with strong initiative and strategic thinking.
