General Summary of Position

The Mechanical Engineer Manager will lead and oversee all mechanical engineering aspects of the new data center construction project (SMX-01). This includes designing, planning, and implementing mechanical systems, such as HVAC, cooling, fire suppression, and plumbing. The Mechanical Engineer Manager will collaborate with other engineering disciplines and construction teams to ensure the project meets the required specifications, budget, and timeline.

Responsibilities :

  1. Lead and manage a team of mechanical engineers and technicians.
  2. Design and plan the mechanical systems for the new data center building.
  3. Oversee the installation and commissioning of mechanical systems.
  4. Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  5. Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and construction teams.
  6. Manage project budgets and timelines related to mechanical systems.
  7. Troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical issues that may arise.
  8. Provide technical guidance and support to the project team
  9. Any other duties as assigned by Direct Manages and or MPs.

Profile Requirements :

  1. Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering.
  2. Ideally 10+ years of mechanical engineering, preferably in data center construction or similar projects experience.
  3. Strong understanding of mechanical systems design, installation, and maintenance.
  4. Proficiency in using engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
  5. Deep knowledge of HVAC, cooling, fire suppression, and plumbing systems.
  6. Understanding of relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA).
  7. Familiarity with data center infrastructure and IT equipment.
