Job Description

Tax Compliance:

  • Manage the preparation and timely filing of all Indonesian tax returns, including corporate income tax, value-added tax (VAT), withholding taxes, and other applicable taxes.
  • Manage queries, tax audits and assessments from the Indonesian tax authorities, negotiating settlements and resolving disputes when necessary.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes to Indonesian tax laws and regulations, and implement necessary adjustments to company tax practices.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all tax records and documentation.

Tax Planning and Strategy:

  • Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies to minimize the company's overall tax liability while remaining compliant with all regulations.
  • Analyze the tax implications of business transactions and recommend appropriate courses of actions.
  • identify and evaluate potential tax risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, legal, and operations, to ensure tax considerations are integrated into business decisions.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and manage a team of tax professionals, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance management.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with external tax advisors.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
  • May have additional responsibilities for regional tax matters in Southeast Asia.
  • Represent the company before the Indonesian tax authorities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting Taxation, or a related field.
  • Must have a minimum 10 years experience in Tax
  • Must have Brevet Tax A and B
  • In-depth knowledge of Indonesian tax laws and regulations, including corporate income tax, VAT, withholding taxes, and international tax considerations.
  • Proven experience in tax planning, tax compliance, tax planning, and managing tax audits.*
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.**
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and tax software a plus.
  • Had worked in one of the big 4 companies or renowned consultancy companies is Highly Desirable.*
