The Legal Officer is responsible for managing the company's legal functions and ensuring compliance with Indonesian regulations. This role directly supports business development and sales operations by handling legal matters related to transactions, contracts, and property development activities. The Legal Officer will oversee regulatory filings, permits, commercial agreements, and all legal documentation essential for smooth business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the company's compliance with Indonesian laws, regulations, and industry standards, especially in property development, employment, corporate law, and construction.
  • Ensure the internal and external administrative.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts and agreements, including sales agreements, joint ventures, lease agreements, partnership contracts, employment contracts and construction contracts.
  • Manage the acquisition and renewal of all construction permits and licenses, ensuring compliance with local and national regulations.
  • Provide legal research to the management team on corporate governance, regulatory matters, and dispute resolution.
  • Oversee and manage legal aspects of construction projects, including contractor agreements, subcontractor contracts, and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Manage external legal counsel and represent the company in legal disputes, if necessary.
  • Monitor legal risks in documentation and operations and ensure compliance with Indonesian labor and construction laws.
  • Assist property-related legal matters, including titles, deeds, and lease agreements.
  • Handle the due diligence process with clients and their third-party council.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the real estate or construction industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of Indonesian labor law, employment regulations, corporate law, and construction regulations.
  • Proven experience in contract drafting, negotiations, dispute resolution, and construction permits and contracts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Experience in the property development, real estate or construction industry is a plus.
