As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for reviewing mechanical designs and ensuring that projects are executed and completed successfully.

Description

  • Review all cooling system designs and coordinate with consultants and vendors on detailed engineering and Generic Flow Controls, providing feedback according to site requirements.
  • Collaborate with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Work with site contractors to resolve design-related issues and ensure proper installation.
  • Lead the execution of complete mechanical systems, including (but not limited to) fuel systems, domestic water piping, fire systems, and cooling systems (HVAC low side for floor, terrace, shafts, PAHU, Chiller), through to commissioning.
  • Prepare and maintain complete design documentation and oversee IST activities prior to project handover.
  • Manage all documents related to design, installation, testing, and commissioning.
  • Ensure a smooth project close-out by completing handover activities and meeting all documentation requirements.
  • Develop safety check guidelines and risk assessments for cooling equipment and create the corresponding checklists.
  • Ensure contractors adhere to all safety requirements during construction.

Profile

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in data center infrastructure or mission-critical facility execution.
  • Experience in data center mechanical design and timely handover to stakeholders.
  • Experience or involvement in IST activities with hyperscale customers for data center projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, BIM, and MS Project.
