Some of your duties will include:

• To lead and supervise daily mechanical maintenance activities in the upstream area of the Processing Plant—including Crushing, Milling, Pebble Crushing, Pump & Piping Systems, Screens, and Conveyors—to ensure plant reliability, availability, and mechanical integrity. This role plays a key part in executing planned maintenance, resolving breakdowns, and optimizing asset performance in alignment with safety, production, and cost-efficiency targets.

• Maintenance Execution & Supervision

• Supervise preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on upstream mechanical systems and equipment.
• Monitor daily work orders, backlog, and equipment status; escalate critical issues to Superintendent.

• Ensure proper use of CMMS (e.g., SAP PM) to record job progress, material usage, and labor hours.

• Equipment Responsibility

• Oversee the mechanical integrity of: Primary, secondary, and tertiary crushers; Ball mills, SAG mills, pebble crushers; Slurry pumps, piping systems, valves; Vibrating screens and belt conveyor systems.

• Review equipment history and collaborate with reliability engineers for improvement initiatives.

• Safety, Compliance & Quality

• Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted safely and comply with company regulations, SMKP Minerba, ISO 45001, and environmental policies (ISO

• Enforce LOTO procedures, permit-to-work systems, and JSA/JHA reviews for high-risk tasks.
• Team Management
• Supervise and develop mechanical technicians and contractors, ensuring proper allocation and task execution.

• Lead toolbox talks, daily planning meetings, and conduct regular skill evaluations.

• Continuous Improvement

• Support RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and defect elimination initiatives for recurring failures.
• Propose improvements to maintenance strategies (e.g., RCM, CBM programs).
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and reliability team for turnaround/ shutdown planning and execution.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Engineering qualification at Trade, Diploma or Degree level in a Mechanical field or equivalent industry (mineral processing or heavy industrial plant);
• Have 8-10 years' experience in mechanical maintenance of large process fixed plant facilities (Crushing/ Milling/ Pump & Piping/ Screen & Conveyor) with minimum 4 years' experience working in similar role as Supervisor Mechanical Maintenance – Upstream;
• Strong understanding, demonstrate and act of mining systems and operations, as well as mechanical maintenance systems and operations in crushing, grinding, screening, conveying, and slurry transport; Expert knowledge of upstream processing equipment, especially SAG and ball mills, crushers (gyratory, cone), Conveyor, Pump and their ancillary systems (cyclones, screens); Familiarity with comminution circuit optimization, management to maximize throughput and energy efficiency; Familiarity with maintenance planning & scheduling (weekly/monthly shutdowns); Able to read and interpret technical drawings, P&ID, and equipment manuals.
• Working knowledge, demonstrate and act of Indonesian mining regulations, environmental permits and ISO 9001/ 45001 standards; Has Frontline level operational inspector certificate (POP) or qualifications certificate recognized by KaIT (Chief Mines Inspector) in accordance with level of position.
• Strong leadership and organizational, scheduling & time management skills; Ability to work both independently and as a team player and thrive in a fast paced, high pressure environment; Ability to communicate well, and work productively with internal and external individuals; A commitment to safety & environment and a desire to maintain our Indonesian mining operations to world class international standards;
• Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate; Proficient in using CMMS (e.g., SAP PM, Ellipse, etc) and Microsoft Office tools: spreadsheet, database, and presentation.
